Chasteberry is an herbal supplement formulated to provide support for estrogen balance via increased Progesterone, menstrual regularity and menstrual discomfort. Chasteberry contains Chasteberry fruit extract, an ingredient that has been studied thoroughly for the support of gynecological problems, such as menstrual irregularity and hypermenorrhea.
Clinical evidence and research show that the ingredients in Chasteberry may:
- Support healthy estrogen metabolism*
- Aid in proper Progesterone to Estradiol Ratios*
- Support healthy menstrual cycles*
- Support menstrual discomfort*
- Support healthy stress response & mood*
Chasteberry can improve the symptoms of estrogen dominance by acting on Lutenizing Hormone which causes the increased production of Progesterone. Progesterone and Estradiol need to work in harmony together - they are often referred to as the yin to each other’s’ yang. Restoring this balance will lessen anxiety, promote calmness and may help alleviate estrogen dominant fat storage patterns.*
Chasteberry is a carefully created formula that delivers the Chasteberry sublingually to the bloodstream, bypassing the stomach and its breakdown. This requires you to use less of the herb, and you’ll start reaping the benefits faster than with capsule versions. You may notice that in the past you’ve used 250mg per dosing orally, but sublingually you only need a 10th of that so each dosing of Chasteberry is 25mg.
A recent open study of 36 women with Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) showed that daily Chasteberry fruit extract supplementation reduced physical PMS symptoms in 69% of the test subjects after three months of use; 80% showed a decrease in psychological symptoms.1 The duration of the luteal phase also doubled. Research suggests that Chasteberry fruit extract works through several mechanisms, including inhibition of prolactin secretion, support for endorphin and dopamine function, and estrogenic effects.2,3,4
